How a Vacuum Loader Works

Vacuum loaders work by using suction to transfer plastic raw materials. The system creates a vacuum that draws materials from a hopper and moves them into the material tank of the injection molding machine. The loader automatically stops when the material reaches a preset level in the hopper, and restarts when the material level drops.

The pellet vacuum loader’s core function is to activate a vacuum motor through a control system. This motor extracts air from the hopper and closes the discharge valve, generating negative pressure in the hopper. The raw materials are then transported into the hopper through pipes by the created airflow. Once the loading cycle completes, the motor shuts off, and the discharge valve opens, allowing the materials to flow into the injection molding machine, extruder, or another device.

Vacuum loaders can also be used in conjunction with grinders. When doing so, make sure to adjust the grinder’s bottom hole size to match the loader’s suction hole. Additionally, avoid using excessively long materials, as they can get tangled around the shaft, potentially disrupting the operation.
